Drug Works Cafe Mainlines It Into Hawaiian Gardens

Drugs Work, we mean Drug Works
Drugs Work, we mean Drug Works

A new restaurant soft-opened in Hawaiian Gardens yesterday called Drug Works Cafe, according to its PR. It sounds like some sort of progressive Dutch needle-exchange program, and while there is a pharmacy component to be had, the cafe is more intent on warding off caffeine withdrawal. Former Vinoteque on Melrose executive chef K.C. Ma is a consulting manager here, lending a hand to menus of simple sandwiches, salads, and sodas from Galco’s. The restaurant serves mud from Groundwork and to celebrate its soft-opening, will offer free coffee made from African beans to customers all day today. The cafe opens daily at 9:00 A.M.
