Look back to last summer and you may recall that city agencies (primarily the Villaraigosa-lead Art Walk Task Force) banned food trucks from the perimeter of Downtown’s Historic Core, following the death of an infant at the hands of someone trying to parallel park at the monthly Art Walk. Guess what? The ban’s extension into private parking lots, which limits the businesses from participating in the neighborhood event, is completely contra la ley.

L.A. Weekly reports that this discovery might even result in the city having the crapola sued out of it, for which Angelenos would be on the hook. Read on to learn of the whole twisted struggle going down between L.A.’s overeager politicians, the organizer of ArtWalk, and pro-street-vending forces like the founder of TruckIt Fest. It’s a doozy!
