Uh-oh! While we were scouting Little Odessa’s delis for the best salo on Sunday, West Hollywood neighbors were having a tizzy over the noise, lack of parking, and traffic caused by The Hudson’s second annual block party. Patch reports on a letter circulated the following night urging neighbors to besiege the WeHo City Council. The anti-noise missive screams out: “HUDSON BLOCK PARTYNIGHTMARE!!! ARE YOU AS ANGRY & DISGUSTED AS WE ARE THAT WEST HOLLYWOOD CITY HALL APPROVED THIS EVENT????” How do we possibly get this person to quiet down?
While the city is looking into the event’s notifications process to avoid another brouhaha in the future, West Hollywood mayor Jeff Prang, whose clearly better at partying than some of his angry constituents (who are also bitching about noise from SkyBar), admits the event may need a reworking, claiming it “shifted to more of a concert than the classic block party.” Just one of many reasons we picked Moscow over The Hudson.
