Fairmount Avenue’s La Calaca Feliz

No doubt the opening of the brand spanking new Barnes Foundation on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will drive traffic through the ever-growing collection of restaurants in the Fairmount neighborhood. And this week, as the museum opens its doors to the public for the first time, many of those restaurants’ owners and the chefs behind them are banding together to host their first restaurant week. Like similar discount dining promotions, the Fairmount one will have participating restaurants (there are more than 20) offering special three-course menus for $35 or less.
