Bistrot La Minette’s Peter Woolsey is helping the Friends of Dickinson Square Park Farmers’ Market kick off its season this coming Sunday, June 3. The market, which will be open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. throughout the summer at Dickinson Square Park near Moyamensing Avenue and Morris Street, will welcome back farm stands from Darmo Family Farms, Two Gander Farm, Down Home Acres, and Fresh-A-Peel Hummus from last year. Joining them this season are Zea May’s Food Truck and Neil’s Sharpening Service. Zea May’s will make regular stops at the market in the weeks to come, and Neil’s will sharpen knives on a monthly basis.

For the market’s first outing this year, Woolsey will be on hand to demonstrate how to prepare French fare with farm-fresh goods. Though the demos are absolutely free, those interested are urged to register via email to ensure that there is enough food for all attendees.
