At 11 days (roughly 1.7 weeks), Chicago Craft Beer Week is a massive thing with some 300 events all over the city and suburbs. Some of them, indeed most of them, are just specials at individual restaurants and bars and brewpubs, nothing wrong with that, but there are many much more elaborate events in which brewers take over entire restaurants, new brews are launched, and there’s everything from disc golf to a memorial service for Randy “Macho Man” Savage. (Of course.) Here’s the complete schedule, searchable by neighborhood, at the Craft Beer Week site. Tribune beer guy Josh Noel has scouted out some of the best options for each of the eleven days in this yeoman-like opus; blogger The Beeronaut will be doing the same day by day, starting here; and somehow we knew Chuck Sudo wouldn’t let this one go by and so Chicagoist has their guide (by Paul Schneider) here.
