Black Dog Gelato’s second location in the former Bleeding Heart Bakery Roscoe Village location opened this weekend; according to a staffer at the original Ukrainian Village location, business was slow on the first day or two, but we expect that to change as the moms visiting toddler-friendly Fellger Park nearby figure out that Goat Cheese Caramel Cashew gelato and its ilk is just steps away.

Meanwhile, word is that Bridgeport’s 82-year-old Ramova Grill, which originally planned to close April 14 but moved the date back several times to accommodate last-minute visitors, finally closed for real after breakfast and lunch on Saturday. We paid tribute to it here and here; sic transit ramova.

And finally… Next served its last gorgonzola cheese ball from the El Bulli menu on Saturday night. At last report Next Sicily, of which almost nothing has been said so far (Chef Achatz told us “It will be very rustic”; Eater has a little more here), will start June 2.
