It started the way these things so often do: Mötley Crüe singer/gift-to-society Vince Neil arrived in Las Vegas ready to party. Unfortunately, things went downhill. Employees at the Palms’ Little Buddha restaurant booted Neil for what we assume was rowdy behavior, and he took to Twitter to vent (and misspell) his rage. “Do to recent events, including distrust and dishonesty at the executive level. I will never again step foot @palms property,” he tweeted. So in response, the Palms casino has permanently banned him. The drama actually got interesting escalated when the resort took to Twitter to fight back, because damage control is always best handled in 140 characters and fewer.

“Mr. Neil has recently made negative comments about Palms on Twitter, however, he fails to mention his own actions. … As a result of Mr. Neil’s inappropriate behavior, he was asked to leave a restaurant at Palms,” the hotel tweeted. “We cannot and will not allow our guests, no matter who they are, to mistreat our team members. We at Palms take customer service very seriously, but we also take the well being of our team members just as seriously.” Sounds like whatever Neil did, it was good.

And more: “Mr. Neil has also since called Palms personnel threatening negative publicity. … While we believe this is unfortunate, and would prefer that Mr. Neil put his efforts toward apologizing for his conduct … such threats will have no effect on Palms’ policies or its decision in this matter.” Translation: The Palms is not scared of Vince Neil.

Neil hasn’t responded to news outlets for further comment, though he promises to update his Twitter followers on the saga “soon,” signing off with “@palms can say what they want. It’s all lie’s. Fuck the executives!! I’ll name names later!!”

But maybe the Palms should have expected something like this all along? After all, their Twitter tagline basically invites disaster: “Our celebrity following and hipster clientele have turned the Palms Casino Resort into one of Las Vegas’ most infamous destinations.”
