Every time we start to question whether we’ve lost interest in the comings and goings of today’s Top Chef contestants, they pull us back in. A mighty gang of televised talent is uniting at Wilshire on Sunday, April 22 for a whole pig potluck lead by recent cheftestants Chris Cary and Wilshire chef Nyesha Arrington, aided by the likes of Alex Reznik, Ilan Hall, Marcel Vigneron, Antonia LaFaso, Jamie Lauren, Sally Camacho, CJ Jacobson, and Danielle Keene, along with our local heroes Mark Peel and Suzanne Tracht, both of which appeared on Top Chef Masters. What’s going to be served here?

All of the celebrity attendees plan to cook sides and desserts to accompany the main courses that spring from a single pig, dishes including pulled pork, spare ribs, pork belly, and pig ears, while Devon Espinose of Pour Vous pours trashcan punch over Neve Ice. Haven Gastropub, Firestone, and Smog City will be on beer duty, while Handsome Coffee will make espresso drinks and KCRW DJ Marion Hodges stays on beat. This gnarly lineup of talent is banding together to raise funds for Share Our Strength prior to June 10th’s Taste of the Nation event. $55 tickets can be purchased online.
