There’s some hot happy hour action getting underway up on North Broad Street. Route 6, the casual seafooder that the Starr fleet launched into orbit late last fall, is cutting loose with some new food and drink specials that go into effect tonight. And beginning Monday, May 7, Alla Spina, the gastro-funhouse that Marc Vetri recently opened next door, will begin its own happy hour. Every Monday through Thursday evening from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Route 6, Chef Anthony DiRienzo will offer $1 oysters, $4 draft beers and $6 specialty cocktails to help folks get happy. Housemade chips, bluefish dip and crab deviled eggs, and fried oyster sliders are a few of the other snacks on offer. Also new for tonight is Route 6’s new Lobster Mondays deal.
Every Monday night the restaurant will offer guests a $39, three-course dinner with a 1.5 lb. lobster, creamed corn and baked potato.
Next door at Alla Spina, happy hour deals will include $2 off on all draft beers, $4 Peroni drafts and canned beers, and $7 Negornis. On the food side of things, the Italian gastropub will offer oysters for $1.50 each, $3 pretzels, $2 deviled eggs, $3 housemade chips, $6 mortadella hot dogs and more. Alla Spina’s happy hour will run 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and 3 to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Along with the happy hour specials, the Vetri crew will also offer late night deals Sundays through Thursdays, from 10:30 p.m. to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays, from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
