Grub Street discovers a new addition to Japantown today: Kippu (1707 Buchanan Street at Sutter), in the space formerly occupied by Miyako. They’re softly open now, and have a pair of Yelp reviews to show for themselves, and it looks like there’ll be a grand opening shortly. Also: The short ribs are allegedly quite good. [Grub Street]
