Broken mirrors and black cats be damned: Philly’s fearless beer drinkers will be putting their thirst for cask-conditioned brews before superstitions today, and bellying up at Grey Lodge Pub for its second of three Friday the Firkinteenth celebrations this year. Breakfast is on now, and at 12 noon, Mike “Scoats” Scotese and his bar crew will begin banging bungholes on more than 20 firkins of cool and unusual beers from breweries near and far. Among them will be PBC’s Engine 1892 Market Stout, a Firkinteenth first, plus a rare Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA and the just released Flying Fish Farmhouse Summer Ale. As each barrel kicks, another gets tapped until all run dry. Keep reading to see the full lineup.
