Dose Market returns to the River East Arts Center this Sunday from 10 to 4, and of the many interesting things that will no doubt be there, the one that caught our eye was the Dose debut of Paul Fehribach of Big Jones, who’s whipped up a mess of fixin’s from his pantry of authentic Southern recipes. He’ll be serving chicken and sausage gumbo and shrimp and grits, and selling a range of items including benne (sesame seed) crackers and brittle, pecan toffee, duck fat caramel corn, five pepper jelly, Carolina gold rice, Antebellum coarse grits, and best of all, some of his in-house charcuterie including andouille, tasso and blood sausage by the pound.

Meanwhile, maybe because it’s a hot ticket on Sundays and it’s already lured plenty of people into the area to shop at Publican Quality Meats on Saturdays, The Publican will start Saturday brunch on March 24, with a menu that’s at least somewhat different from what’s offered on Sunday:
