More craft cocktails and ten taps of kind brew are coming to North Hollywood’s Arts District this May from national live venue-packer, Knitting Factory Entertainment, the company behind local libations game-changer The Federal Bar. Sticking to the strengths of industry, the space will be called Bow & Truss, with plans to serve Latin small plates from Federal Bar’s Shad Davis, under the watch of Stefhanie Meyers (spelled Stefhanie to steal her sunshine back from Twilight’s scribe, we’ll guess), who worked under master composer John Sedlar at Playa and Rivera. This alone inflates our confidence that the restaurant’s “traditional Spanish influence with a modern flair” could be worth a trip for the world at large.

The Bar

Meanwhile, Beth Holden of green firm New Theme Inc. is hooking the spot up with a mega-courtyard patio up front and retractable doors, open kitchen, robot waiters, and a central bar, described as modern “with a craftsman-edge.” These company-driven spots are typically the types of places that really have their shit together and open on time. So look for it this May at 11122 Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood.
