Mission Bowling Club Will Open Soon, Won’t Be Open After Midnight

There's still no opening date.
There’s still no opening date.

We now have an official (and exhaustive) update on Mission Bowling Club, the much anticipated Mission answer to Lucky Strike Lanes, which is headed to a former warehouse on 17th Street near South Van Ness. As Mission Local reports, they’re still not announcing an opening date, but they’re getting close, and former Mission Street Food chef Anthony Myint is testing out menu items like jerk pork shoulder, and a sopaipilla with roasted cauliflower, pickled apple, edamame, and eggplant (see sample menus from this pop-up preview last month). They will be getting a full liquor license, thanks to an exception to the neighborhood’s moratorium passing the Board of Supervisors, but they won’t be open past midnight on weekends, or 11 p.m. on weeknights, which might be a little sad for some once they’re on a roll.

Also, prices will range from $35 to $55 per lane per hour, and there will be a daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. And there’s apparently a cool upstairs area overlooking the lanes that’s perfect for birthday parties.

Stay tuned for a firm date in the near future.
