“Scourge of restaurateurs” Maimon Kirschenbaum is up to his old tricks — that is, suing restaurants. Today’s not-so-lucky targets: Kefi, Casa La Femme, and XO Creperie. Oh no, just when things were going so well for Kefi co-owner Michael Psilakis (what with that new BBC Show, and MP Taverna expanding). The allegations are the usual illegal tip distribution and failure to pay spread-of-hours pay or overtime. Oh, except at XO, where dishwasher plaintiffs also tacked on that gripe that they were forced to pay a daily “dish charge” for inevitable breakage — that does suck.
