Despite weather that makes it feel like summer may start tomorrow, today is the first day of Spring. And of course, that means Rita’s Water Ice is giving away free, regular-size water ices from noon until 9 p.m. tonight at all of its locations. It’s the 20th year that the locally-founded franchise company has ushered in the new season with its complimentary frozen treats. Not to be outdone, Rocco’s Italian Ice has designated today as its customer appreciation day, and will also serve free ices at all three of its locations too.
