It’s a bummer about Divan Turkish Kitchen calling it quits, but thankfully, the space at 22nd and Carpenter streets won’t be dark for very long. Word comes this morning that business partners Nancy Law and Troy Barton are working on opening SoWe (pronounced “so we,” and references the neighborhood’s proximity at South West Center City) there in April. The new spot is being billed as a neighborhood bistro, that will have a casual vibe, craft beers, artisan wines, cocktails and a menu boasting burgers, mussels and roast chicken. Right now the space is being revamped and will eventually house reclaimed wood floors and a handmade bar crafted from weathered oak. We’ll keep you posted as the project progresses.
