After receiving an influx of fans for his Mexican-style street hot dogs, Danny Mena at Salon Hecho (the spinoff of Hecho en Dumbo) has shifted gears. He tells Grub Street that the Salon kitchen, which was rooted in traditional Spanish cantina fare, will be now largely focus on old-school Mexican food. Menu additions include: three types of small tortitas, the street hot dog and a Mexican-style corn dog called a banderilla. Salud!
