Saru Sushi Opens in Noe Valley; Gitane’s New Cocktails; and More

Noe Valley: Saru Sushi Bar (3856 24th Street) has just opened for lunch and dinner. [Noe Valley SF]
Financial District: Gitane (6 Claude Lane) has a new bar manager, Ramon Garcia, who has worked the bar under both Carlo Splendorini and Alex Smith’s tenures as manager. With him comes a new cocktail menu, too. [SFoodie]
Hayes Valley: We told you about Dobbs Ferry’s late-night $5 family meals, and tonight’s is being cooked by chef Justin Simoneaux, who’ll be hopping across the street form Boxing Room to do some spicy braised tripe and grits. That’s from 10:30 p.m. to midnight, or until they run out. [Facebook]
Castro: Here’s an illustrated map of a dozen Castro gay bars, mapped on a cartoon man’s abs. Unfortunately, a couple of the bars have changed names since the illustrator last visited them four years ago. [SFist]
