Mixology Author David Wondrich Coming To Aviary March 13th and 14th

Now this is what we call history.
Now this is what we call history.

Not since Michael Ruhlman came to The Butcher & Larder has there been such a perfect match of visiting food author and venue. David Wondrich, a cult favorite of fans of historical mixology for his well-researched, yet also very practical, books Imbibe! (about cocktails) and Punch: The Delights (and Dangers) of the Flowing Bowl, will be at The Aviary for two nights celebrating the history of the traditional punch, which before cocktails came along was the focus of pre-Civil War mixology, especially in the South. The events run both nights from 8 p.m. to midnight, with several punches on offer, and tickets are $125 (before tax) and include a signed copy of Punch (as well as some passed bites). This being The Aviary, to get your space you need to send an email to Punch@theaviary.com indicating your preferred night.
