Mission: Clubby restaurant Circolo (500 Florida at Mariposa) is closing as of March 1 and becoming an event space. [Eater] Update: This appears to have been a misunderstanding, and Circolo is merely changing things up a bit, opening Wednesday through Sunday instead of Tuesday through Saturday, and adding a program of revolving pop-ups on Mondays and Tuesdays. [Grub Street]
Western Addition: The elusive Pizza Hacker pops up tonight at Vinyl (359 Divisadero), and the purchase of a pizza will get you a free glass of wine during happy hour. [Eater]
Sonoma: On Sunday, March 4, some Chez Panisse chefs will be cooking a special dinner at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, which will feature wine pairings from Jacuzzi and their older sister winery, Cline. It’s $125 per person, and call 707.778.7500 to reserve. [Grub Street]
Yountville: Thomas Keller’s businesses are coming back alive after fire-related renovations (Bouchon Bakery), and a winter hiatus with renovations (Ad Hoc). The bakery reopens on Sunday, February 26, and Ad Hoc reopens on Thursday, March 1. Addendum, meanwhile, reopens April 1. Let the macarons and fried chicken flow anew! [Grub Street]
St. Helena: The new La Condesa in downtown St. Helena is doing a weeknight happy hour, 4 to 6 p.m., with $2 tostadas, $5 nachos, and $6 classic margaritas, made with the good stuff. [Grub Street]
