On Tuesday, over 1,891 past and present employees of Wolfgang Puck Catering and Events were awarded with a $500,000 settlement to resolve alleged wage and hours violations. Among the claimants are Red O’s $100 margarita man, Steve Calabro, who initiated a suit in 2010 claiming a whole bunch of bullshit went down with employee paychecks, wage statements, and breaks. A judge has set a June hearing for the settlement’s final approval, which could amount to less than $250 per employee. In the end, it’s no more than a drip in the bucket for Wolf’s $400 million-a-year empire. [BHC]
