The long wait is over. Following yesterday’s grand re-opening, Downtown’s Water Grill has named it’s new executive chef. British toque Damon Gordon joins a legacy that includes David LeFevre and Michael Cimarusti, following an extended voyage that left this 21-year-old ship un(wo)manned, after the departure of Amanda Baumgarten after just seven months. Gordon’s resume includes his own Damon Gordon’s Quarter Kitchen at The Ivy Hotel in San Diego, Mix in Vegas, and Ono at The Hotel Gansevoort in New York.
