Here’s some promising lunch news for your wallets. Hollywood’s The Fat Dog is launching nine new sandwich and soup combinations, four of which will be offered together daily for just eight dollars. Chef John Gladish and crew are sourcing seasonal ingredients for home-made soups like butternut squash, French onion gratin, and parsnip puree, with sandwiches on La Brea Bakery bread such as cured salmon with horseradish cream (to be paired with a soup of celery root puree), cured ham and Granny Smith apples (for a white bean and parmesan soup), and an open-faced shrimp salad sandwich (that goes with a sweet corn and potato chowder). The paired lunches can be ordered to stay, go, or for pickup, and the full menu is below for your looks.
