A restaurant and drinking hub calling itself Sadie is set to slink into Hollywood’s former Les Deux space, laying it down for all to see on Tuesday, January 24th. The restaurant is propelled by the Simon family, owners of the space since the early fifties who recently headed up the last iteration of Les Deux as it went from dance-spot to gastro-pub.

Sadie will specialize in New American eco-stewardship under chef Dave Schmit, a veteran of Dominique Crenn’s shuttered, woefully under-appreciated Abode in Santa Monica as well as The Buffalo Club, Hotel Bel Air, the Brentwood Country Club, and the last Les Deux. While Schmit promises to use the finest ingredients he can uncover for his menu (much like he did the last go-around), homegrown mixologist Giovanni Martinez, who consulted for Buffalo Club himself, as well as Fig & Olive, will add his touch to two bars, one called The Parlour for more experimental mixology and another named The Lounge, which specializes in hand-crafted classics and also touts craft brew and a wide-ranging wine list.

Sadie, 1638 N. Las Palmas Ave. Hollywood. 323-467-0200
