The clock is ticking for restaurateurs and other prospective operators to submit letters of interest to make something of 3rd Ward’s cafe space. As you may recall, 3rd Ward is the Brooklyn-based creative workspace that announced its expansion into Philly back in September. The organization partnered with local developers to create its “incubator for innovation and possibility” in a sprawling, 27,000 square-foot space near Fourth and Thompson streets, where it will house wood and metal shops, screenprinting studios, and multiple classrooms, including one for culinary programs. The selected restaurant operator will be privy to some pretty sweet perks, like $80,000 in the form of a capital improvement budget, indoor and outdoor seating and built-in audience. Deadline for letters is Friday, January 10. Click here to check out the request for proposal.
