According to Eater, rolling stone chef Jason Neroni is back on the road, bailing Osteria La Buca after eight months that maintained the southern Hollywood Italian’s neighborhood and critical approval. Osteria La Buca confirms the chef’s departure, but at this early point, there’s no word on Neroni’s next step in a storied career that saw him working locally at Spago and abroad at New York’s Le Cirque, Essex House, Tabla, 71 Clinton Fresh Food, and most notoriously, Porchetta. Nor is there word on Buca’s months to come after a year that saw it turn pink, start a biker gang, and begin slanging wine.
