If our apocalyptic future is bound to be marked by bug eating, Santa Monica’s Typhoon may have finally convinced us that the Aztecs called 2012 correctly. The airport restaurant, once connected to a sister property caught selling whale meat, is known for its menu of much smaller creepy crawlies. Today, Santa Monica Patch grubs on the restaurant’s Thai sea worms, stir-fried crickets, and Singapore shrimp toast bearing a fat coupling of scorpions on top. Tasty! [SM Patch]
