Hawk’s Tavern, a new family-friendly joint in Mill Valley in the former Dish space (507 Miller Avenue), opens tonight with a menu from consulting chef Tyler Florence.* As Eater reports, the concept is “an approachable, pub-esque menu of home-made pretzels, fish and chips, burgers and such,” and Wayfare Tavern executive chef Michael Thiemann is running the show. This is sort of sounding like the poor man’s Wayfare, with every menu item priced under $16 — even though we’re not sure they even let poor people into Mill Valley. Look for Hawk’s to be open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. [Eater]
