Today’s end of the year list comes to us from Forbes. The business mag has named their first-ever “Top 30 Under 30” and a bunch of local food industry peps are featured. Flour+Water’s Thomas McNaughton, Ubuntu’s Aaron London, and Sons & Daughters’ Teague Moriarty and Matt McNamara are among the chefs who made the cut.
The list was curated by an expert panel consisting of Daniel Boulud, Danny Meyer, and Lee Schrager. The East Coast-based panelists certainly love Sons and Daughters because the wine director, Carlin Karr, was on the list, too. Justin Morrison of Sightglass Coffee, Brendan Marshall of Kitchit, Mark Ramadan and Scott Norton of Sir Kensington’s Gourmet Scooping Ketchup, Alan Kropf of Mutineer Magazine, and Lena Kwak of the French Laundry are the other Northern California residents who are highlighted.
