We’ve been waiting on an update from Stuart Brioza and wife Nicole Krasinski about State Bird Provisions (1529 Fillmore), and Ms. Tablehopper did us a solid and hoofed it over to the still in-progress space to get it. Though there are still contingencies, they’re still aiming for a New Year’s Eve opening for their small-plates concept with dim-sum-style service. Plus, she’s got a few details on the design, which include “mid-century elements the duo painstakingly sourced, like the groovy lights, vintage speakers, and the school-ish chairs that came from an auditorium,” as well as custom-made, aqua blue, Masonite-topped tables with a small board stowed under each. “You will take out the board, and on one side you’ll discover the menu, while the other will hold the tally sheet for your order.” There will be two custom-made service carts roving the dining room with food options, featuring reclaimed wood from a boat and orange detailing. Follow them on Twitter for up-to-the-minute updates. [Tablehopper, Earlier]
