You’ve eaten the sausage, you’ve seen musical performances in its cooler… but the one thing you haven’t done at The Butcher & Larder is one thing that was promised when the butcher shop was first announced… eaten Allison Levitt’s desserts, the ones you loved at Mado. That’s because although desserts were part of the original plan, the Levitts decided instead to go with Plan B (have a baby). But just for the holidays, she’ll be making shortbread and migas bark (a chocolate crunchy thing made with bread crumbs, which is simple happiness). Orders will be taken through December 17th with pickup on the 22nd through 24th; shortbread is 6 pieces for $8, migas bark is $15 for a half pound. They don’t exactly say what the best way to place orders is, but we’re guessing calling (773.687.8280) or walking in (1026 N. Milwaukee) would work.
