In a story about breakup nightmares, a career restaurant manager in NYC shares her worst experience (the piece is entitled “The Jack Rabbit”) about a patron she allowed herself to go out with, despite her strict rule against mixing business with pleasure. Can’t help but wonder where the girl has worked, considering her profound hatred of bankers (i.e., “overgrown frat boys with eggshell fragile egos. Narcissists who are deaf and blind to anyone or anything but their own desires”) and that her new restaurant gig makes her look skinnier, even though she swears she’s not!
