Food & Wine released its editor picks for the year’s best restaurants and meals, in which two Chicago restaurants make a very short international list that spans from Los Angeles to Paris. Next’s Thailand menu makes top pick for editor in chief Dana Cowin—though we have to wonder where she got the pad Thai and green papaya salad she raves about, since we don’t remember that on the menu. Meanwhile, restaurant editor Kate Krader was positively head over heels for pastry chef Matthew Rice’s bacon-butterscotch doughnuts at Nightwood’s brunch. [F&W;]
