It kind of blew up this week, with Miller resigning for reasons he says are totally unrelated to the allegations. Now the guy who booked Miller’s engagements is defending the payments to Miller as being for “seminars” at wineries, and nothing more. [Baltimore Sun]

• The Napa Valley is breathing a huge sigh of relief: It’s being reported that the invasive European grapevine moth, first spotted in California in 2009 and responsible for a wave of pesticide panic in 2010, has been nearly eradicated statewide. [Wines and Vines]
