Iron & Gold
Over in the Mission/Bernal borderland known as La Lengua, a new bar has just sprung up called Iron & Gold (3187 Mission Street) in the former Argus Lounge digs. Thrillist breaks the news, and as Bernalwood earlier explained, it’s being helmed by a Salt House and Foreign Cinema bar vet, Andrew Marks, who describes himself as primarily “a beer and a shot dude.” There’s a list of classic cocktails and twist on classics, as well as five local standard brews on tap (Speakeasy White Lightning, Trumer, Racer 5, Humming Ale, and Anchor Steam) which are a mere three dollars during happy hour, until 9 p.m. daily.
