We select only the finest press releases to pass along to you for your holiday enjoyment, and here’s some cool stuff you should know about, especially if you have many spare thousands of dollars handy:

• What says the holidays in Chicago better than a fat sausage? Yeah, exactly. Hot Doug’s has added a bunch of new T-shirts to their apparel line, check them out here.

• Trust fund just get disbursed? Have we got the New Year’s Eve party location for you— buy out Next, Aviary or The Office for the night. From the Next Facebook page:

Rather than get the tired champagne at midnight toast, why not rent out: Next for you and 61 friends; Aviary for you and 84 friends; the Office for you and 17 friends. You pick the friends, the music, the toast… let us make sure it’s a genuine, once in a lifetime party. It won’t be cheap, but these will be the best food and parties in the city.

• Here’s a cheaper thrill, but possibly just as delicious. Asado Cafe on Irving, which is occasionally our offsite HQ when we tire of the caves beneath stately Bacon Manor, is now offering doughnuts trucked up from two legendary, but inconvenient to anyone north of 71st St., South Side doughnut shops, Old-Fashioned Donuts and Dat Donut. They’re Saturdays only and we’re going to predict a sellout tomorrow. [Tribune]

• Sopranos restaurant in Lincoln Park will be hosting… actual Sopranos. That is, the actors who played Big Pussy, Furio Giunta and Larry Boy Barese will be there for a special Sopranos-themed wine dinner, Sunday night from 6 to 9 p.m. If nothing else, the wine should be way better than that 2347 vintage Domaine Picard we had the other night, which wasn’t fit for a Romulan.
