Haven’t you heard? The coolest thing in Echo Park these days isn’t swapping Von Von Von 8-tracks or betting on who can grow the most anachronistic mustache on their fixed-gears. Duh, it’s making gingerbread geodesic domes! The Eastsider L.A. shares a video of neighborhood creative designers Ben Luddy and Makoto Mizutani’s impressive construction, which finds two busy hands making an edible version of those Epcot Center-like structures that you may find in the northeast hills of L.A. The pace is a little breakneck, but the end result is not only fun, but the skills acquired are basically just as conducive to making a gingerbread soccer ball. Take a peek at the video below and try to follow the steps, if you can possibly keep up.
