New Brooklyn Exhibit Melds Sweets With Storefrontage

I smell sex and candy.
I smell sex and candy.

For the next month, walking a particular section of Classon Avenue may feel a bit more like navigating a particularly treacherous Gum Drop Mountain pass. “Food Lust: Shock Candy,” the first exhibition of the Who Am I gallery, starts today, comprised of 21 mixed-media pieces installed along six vacant Prospect Heights storefronts. We’re talking cake paintings over here, Jell-O mosaics over there, Polaroids of ladies with gumballs covering their lady parts somewhere else. So, sweet! The opening reception goes down tonight at 845 Classon Avenue and features, appropriately, refreshments from the Jello Mold Mistress of Brooklyn. Visit the gallery’s Facebook for more information, and if Lord Licorice tries to score your digits, don’t do it. [Official site]
