Tomorrow, Duane Reade will launch a fro-yo bar and upmarket “Freezee” station at its 1657 Broadway, 24-hour store. The self-service station will feature eight Ronnybrook Farms flavors — original tart, blueberry tart, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, mango, coffee, and peach. Toppings will include tropical coconut flakes, M&M;’s, granola, almond slices, Oreos, and Fruity Pebbles; four sauces containing Ghirardelli dark and white chocolate, Ghirardelli caramel, and Reese’s peanut butter; and eight refrigerated toppings like fresh fruit, candy, and cheesecake. For $5.99, it doesn’t sound altogether atrocious, especially if you remember to pick up those lightbulbs and Tylenol PM, too.
