Cyrano’s Bistrot Goes Locavore With Revamped Concept Cyrano’s Farm & Kitchen

Hopping on the recent trend of longtime restaurants undergoing a facelift, 15-year-old River North French bistro Cyrano’s Bistrot & Wine Bar will soon transform into Cyrano’s Farm & Kitchen shortly after the new year. True to the name, the Chicago Tribune reports that chef/owner Didier Durand bought a small Indiana farm for the project and will finally open his wine cellar to some labels beyond France (presumably because the gas footprint from Europe isn’t exactly eco-friendly for a farm-to-table model). Cyrano’s is expected to re-open with its new look in mid-January at 546 N. Wells. [Chicago Tribune]
