Please excuse us if we neglected to take note that Fog City Pub & Café (1 Hallidie Plaza, not to be confused with Fog City Diner) closed a month or so ago and was replaced by Cable Car City Pub & Café (it looks like they wanted to keep that oversize ‘City’ part of the outdoor signage intact). Today we find that the Powell Street BART-adjacent bar-restaurant has got a new, slightly overzealous piece of YouTubery on their website, which, correct us if we’re wrong, may be doing more harm than good.
In particular, we had to hit mute when that “num-num” song started around the 0:45 mark. Yikes. But hey, it’s happy hour all day!
