On Monday, January 2nd, David LeFevre’s acclaimed M.B. Post will start weekend brunch service, bringing the chef’s sensational bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits to breakfast every following Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., along with a new menu of morning cocktails (including a “Coughlin’s Law” red-eye with Tito’s vodka, quail egg, Belgian pale ale, tomato, cilantro and bacon) and brunch small plates. Expect pecan sticky buns, ricotta-stuffed French toast with star anise, macerated pears, and chestnut honey butter, truffle honey-laced fried chicken, and a signature M.B. Post benedict with La Quercia prosicutto, an organic egg, and rocket on a bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuit. And what’s happening at Mezze?

Mezze, Micah Wexler’s La Cienega Mediterranean restaurant is endowing its little known happy hour with a completely new bar menu. From 6:00-7:30 P.M. and again from 11:00 P.M.-1:00 A.M., the restaurant offers half-priced beer, wine, and cocktails. Wexler has just introduced a new bar menu to aid the cocktail consumption, with reduced prices for bites like braised Moroccan chicken wings with Piolin picholine olives and golden raisins, brisket shawarma sandwiches with amba and house-made pickles, brussels sprots with soft boiled egg and soujouk, and “Egyptian Rebel” fries with brisket, heirloom beans, and Syrian cheese.
