Black Dog Gelato, which supplies exotically flavored gelatos to restaurants like Girl & the Goat as well as serving direct to the public in Ukrainian Village, has reduced its retail hours for the winter to Friday through Sunday, 12 to 9 p.m. But at the same time, owner Jessie Oloroso has brought back last year’s successful Gelato of the Month Delivery Service in time for the holidays, and frankly, if there’s a better way to say “I love you” or “We really, really want to keep your business,” we can’t think of it. $125 gets you, or someone you really like, two quarts of gelato in flavors like Goat Cheese Cashew Caramel or Prickly Pear each month between now and May; place orders by December 23. She’s also offering gelato-making classes once a month; $75 gets you a two hour class with your gelato to take home, and lots of samples along the way. The next one is January 19; call or stop in the shop to place your order for any of the above.
