Guinness Stout and Becherovka, two boozy favorites that have long maintained health benefits in countries that still allow such claims, are coming together in a winter beer cocktail created by booze expert Simon Ford called the Bohemian Rhapsody. What is it and how do you make one?
The Bohemian half is due to Becherovka, the Czech Republic’s beloved secret recipe of over 30 herbs that some call “Christmas in a glass” for its strong clove and cinnamon-tinged flavors. In what could be one of the most interesting concoctions we’ve caught wind of in a while, the rest of the ingredients (espresso, lemon and apple juice, mole bitters) might seem slightly incongruous at first. But if you’re too shield against the winter chill, it’s probably worth a shot. See the recipe below.
1 oz Becherovka
.5 oz Cold Espresso
.5 oz Guinness Stout
1 oz Red Jacket Unfiltered Fuji Apple Juice
.25 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Dash of Bitter Truth Mole Bitters
Add ingredients to glass over ice and stir.
