Move over Boccalone. The Ferry Building is about to get a little more meaty! This Friday, December 16th, the American Eatery, from Prather Ranch Meat Co., will open its doors. Located across the hall from its old spot at the Ferry Building, the Eatery and retail shop will offer an assortment of dishes that feature meat.

The Tablehopper reports that the menu, created by chef Erica Holland-Toll, consists of mostly takeout items like beef and barely soup, roasted pork tenderloin salad, meatball sandwiches, and Prather Ranch chuck chili. Also available? An assortment of side dishes and breakfast items. The space is decorated with remnants of an old barn and concrete, so expect a rustic-urban atmosphere.
