Adele Tour Rider Says American Beer Is Unacceptable

No Coors for Adele.

Like a lot of rock and pop stars, Brit singing sensation Adele likes to throw back a couple of cold ones after her performances. But not just any old brew will do for the “Someone Like You” singer. The rider for her recently aborted American tour, which of course the Smoking Gun got its hands on, explicitly lays out the types of beers she expects promoters to provide for her post-performance enjoyment. The rider calls for twelve bottles of “best quality European lager beer,” and states that “North American beer is NOT acceptable.”

No Coors for Adele.

We have to wonder: Does Adele really have something against American brew (which we all know is outstanding these days), or did her management team just add this little detail in to make sure venue organizers read the rider carefully? After all, of the three beers listed as acceptable for her refined palate, two (Becks and Stella Artois) are manufactured by ABInBev, the same global behemoth responsible for suds mistakenly identified by her rider as unacceptable North American beer.
