As part of their Chinese Food Week, Eater SF had a sit-down with interim mayor and front-running mayoral candidate Ed Lee to talk about where he likes to eat, especially in Chinatown. He name-checks Yank Sing, saying he and his family go there for special occasions, but they really love the more “working class” dim sum at New Asia. Also, he loves Hong Kong Lounge in the Richmond, and he notes the salt-and-pepper crab at R&G; Lounge as “excellent,” but says he can’t eat crab anymore. “I ate too much when I was young. I get skin irritation.” Aww. Too bad, Ed. [Eater]
