First Look at the Extra-Kid-Friendly Meatball Shop West Village
On Monday, the Meatball Shop in the West Village opens to ‘ball-addicts and little ballers alike. The restaurant shares the same menu and hours as the LES and Williamsburg locations, and is similar in size to LES with about 50 seats. Because of the proximity to so many schools, the new digs will have the only kids’ menu of the trio, served weekdays from 3 to 5 p.m. for after-class munchies. (If you’re one of those people who thinks combining children with cuisine is a deadly sin, best to avoid those hours!) The restaurant (which has a best-selling cookbook!) will also serve to-go packs for families of two to six people. The price will be $10 per person, and include a choice of meatball, sauce, and one side for each person.
